Once you have installed your game, and load it for the first time, you will be asked to creaate a new game or load a saved one. If you choose the first option, database will be loaded and you will be moved to a list of countries and leagues. Select no more than 4-5 leagues, except if you have a NASA speed computer. To speed up your game, deselect full detail, if selected, from the leagues you have chosen as background.

Why should you select more than one leagues? The answer is simple. The player database of CM consists of several thousand players. Loading all these would make the game too slow. So if you select only one league, the players of this league will be selected, and the players of the major teams worldwide. The rest will be random players. This way you will lose most of the quality youngsters that make the game so fun.

A good trick is to choose as background Brazil, Argentina and Sweden. The best talents come from south america and -surprisingly- from the Swedish U21s. The swedish researcher has been known to "cheat" for years. Another possibility is to use DDT's
