Work
Permit
If you play the English Premier division, you will get some problems
with getting work permit. What does that mean?
Any player coming outside of EU countries needs to get a work permit
in order to be eligible to play in an English club. A work permit
is granted if a player has played in at least 70% of his
national team's last 16 matches. (This of course refers
not to the full match but a one-minute appearence is enough)
When a player gets a work permit, thisis valid through the whole
duration of his contract. However if you renew his contract,
he will have to get a new work permit!
Countries from which a player needs no work permit
are: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Faroe Islands,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Republic of
Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland, Norway,
Portugal, San Marino, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine and Wales
Attention: If you are trying to sell a player to
an english club from some other championship, be sure he can get
a work permit, or they might cancel th etransfer afterwards!
If you are unsure whether a player is eligible for a work permite,
have your scouts evaluate him, and they will comment
on the subject.
