Here is my personal story with Franco Costanzo. Any of you who is old enough should be able to remember the last great of the CM series, Championship Manager 2001-2002 (don't even mention CM4, it was a shame in the series). Back then the trick formation was 3-5-2. Since i had too many good strikers, i was playing 2-5-3 instead, but even with top defenders, i was finding it hard to keep a clean sheet. Until my South American scout discovered Costanzo. This guy was probably one of the best goalkeepers in the whole CM/FM history, with 20s in nearly every attribute, and the solution to my problematic defence.

I hadn't played him for years, until i came across him in Football Manager 2009! More mature now, at the age of 28, a great age for a keeper, he has a second nationality and, though a bit expensive, he is a stable keeper with good reflexes and rushing out. If you combine this with his high acceleration and one on one marks, i think you can very successfully set him to play in a system with defence pushed forward, with offside trap on, since he will very well come out of his posts to collect through-balls!
